Prof. Arthur V. Hill (Art) is the Lindahl Professor in the Supply Chain and Operations Department in the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. Until recently, he was the Associate Dean in the Carlson School. He has been a visiting professor at many universities including Indiana University, the Moscow Institute of Management, IMD in Switzerland, Wits University in South Africa, the National University of Singapore, and Eastern International University in Vietnam. He has consulted for over 100 organizations, including 3M, Best Buy, Boston Scientific, Cargill, Delta Airlines, Dow, Ecolab, General Mills, Home Depot, Honeywell, Mayo Clinic, Medtronic, Nestlé, Polaris, Target, Toro, US Bank, and Winnebago — and has led successful process improvement programs at Nestlé, Kemps, and Brooks. He attended the United States Military Academy at West Point for two years and then earned a BA in Mathematics from Indiana University, an MS in Industrial Administration from Purdue University, and a PhD in Management, also from Purdue.
